Hiring Hayley as our day-of coordinator was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding and I would encourage anyone in the Chicago area to work with her. She is incredibly thorough, knowledgeable, flexible and all-around FUN to work with. From our first meeting, we knew she was going to check all of the boxes for us. In the busiest part of wedding planning, she took over communication with our vendors, ensured they were all connected and got the information they needed, and kept all of our bridal party and family informed about the events. She helped us work out a thorny situation with another vendor after they tried to change our contract last minute, providing both a listening ear and also the information we needed to push back. She had worked with our venue and many vendors before, so she knew the tips and tricks to working in our particular space. When it came to decide whether or not we needed to get a tent, she fielded near constant calls and texts from me, checked the weather radar obsessively, and helped us plan out umbrella scenarios! Day-of, she made sure everything went as smoothly as possible so we didn't have to worry about anything - including giving special help to our families when needed, moving our few decor items and gifts from the venue into our hotel so we could enjoy the after party, and coordinating gift gifting between us (bride and groom). She was incredibly flexible - we ended up having a random 30-minute rain storm that caused us to move our ceremony. She immediately worked with the venue to move it, ensured all of the guests were in the right place, and talked US down when we were upset about the change. To show how much she truly goes above and beyond, we had a last-minute decor change with our arch. We had brought greenery and asked Hayley if she could attach it while we were getting ready. Not only did she attach the greenery in a beautiful (almost professional!) way, she somehow found flowers that matched our florals and incorporated those too. It ended up looking professionally done in the photos - more than we could ever have imagined or asked for. She is fun, funny, laid-back but took charge of everything when needed. 10/10 cannot recommend Hayley enough - we were joking that we would actually trust her with our lives!

am a very Type A person, who likes to have control of her situations. I also have a lot of anxiety (which is undoubtedly related). After a year of planning, uncertainty, postponing, emotional trauma, replanning, and more uncertainty, we just wanted what everyone wants for their wedding- to feel like it’s their day. Hayley literally made that happen for us. I cannot tell you how much Hayley’s services and help meant to me during that last couple months. We had booked her day of services in 2019, prior to the pandemic and were grateful that she was able to transfer dates when we postponed. Once we actually started working with her (about 2 months out), we realized how invaluable she was! She took care of every last minute detail and took so much of the scheduling/timing/organizing burden off of me. Since we had already booked our vendors and planned everything, our wedding was absolutely our vision and still felt very personal- Hayley just brought it together and made it actually happen! Hayley dealt with my neurotic emails and texts with so much kindness and optimism I felt “taken care of”, from contracts to weather. I didn’t have to handle any of the day-of stresses of what’s being delivered/arriving/needs to park or unload/who needs to be where when/etc. I could just “show up” to my wedding day and genuinely enjoy it. She was always professional and fun to work with. All of our vendors and family commented on how great she was! I can’t thank her or recommend her enough to anyone looking for day of planning services. She’s truly a gem.

Hayley is outstanding! During a year like 2020, she brought stability, organization, and positivity. She helped myself and my husband prior to the big day coordinate with vendors, plan the ceremony, and all the day of details! She made the planning process very easy and organized. On the day, she was on top of every detail and thought of everything! We appreciated her so much and she did an absolutely amazing job!

HIRE HAYLEY IMMEDIATELY! We are pretty a pretty organized couple and love planning things, but we knew that we wanted someone to be there on our wedding day to alleviate any stress. Hayley went absolutely above and beyond. Our wedding day would not have been complete with out her. She answered any and all of my questions before the wedding and helped me to make some important decisions! She communicated with all of our vendors, families, and bridal party before the wedding so everyone was in the loop. The day of she made she that everything was running smoothly and handled any hiccups along the way. My husband and I both agree that hiring Hayley was the best investment we made throughout the process. Everyone that was involved in the wedding could not stop talking about how amazing she was. On top of all of that, she was just a super cool, funny, and kind person to work with!

There is a reason Hayley is rated so highly- she is AMAZING! I am a very type A personality and the most anxiety inducing part of wedding planning for me was the details of the timeline and the massive amounts of communication needed to coordinate vendors. After Hayley came in the picture a weight was lifted off me as she handled both of these things- and so much more -with such promptness, efficiency, and professionalism to a standard I could only dream of. More than a few vendors and family members remarked on how detailed and professional she was. We were able to look to Hayley for advice throughout the planning process, and because of her experience coordinating tons of other weddings, we felt (and were) in very capable hands. She was a rockstar on the day of our wedding and I didn’t stress or worry about a single thing. Not to mention she is one of the sweetest human beings ever! If you are looking for a top notch coordinator you can truly trust, look no further!

We can’t say enough great things about Hayley! We had known Hayley through a friend, and knew that she did wedding coordination, so we decided to meet with her. After our initial meeting we KNEW we had to have Hayley coordinate our wedding. I would consider myself an organized person, but I knew the months leading up to our wedding would be busy and I didn’t want to have any added stress leading up to our wedding and the day of. Hayley was with us every step of the way from the moment we booked with her. She gave us vendor recommendations on our remaining vendors, answered all of our random questions, and was a sounding board for all of our ideas. Starting at about 6 weeks out, we basically handed everything over to her to finalize. We met with her in person several times, and she created a complete minute by minute timeline, contact sheets for vendors, family, and wedding party, and lists for just about everything. Hayley answered all of our emails and texts promptly and made sure to check in frequently. Our wedding day was perfect - if anything went wrong, we had no idea because Hayley took care of it from start to finish. She even stayed throughout the whole reception and made sure our decor and gifts were packed up and sent home with the appropriate people. Many of our vendors even said they had never worked with a wedding coordinator that was so organized, responsive, and helpful throughout the whole process. We would not hesitate to recommend Hayley to anyone who wants a stress free and perfect wedding!

While a wedding planner was out of my price range, a friend had suggested looking into a Day of Coordinator. I am so glad that I listened to that advice!! Hayley is absolutely amazing and I don't know what I would have done on my wedding day without her! She truly went above and beyond our expectations, kept everyone and everything organized from 6 weeks out and up to the big day. She was quick to respond to messages and to try and solve any little snags along the way. I would recommend her services to anyone and everyone in the area planning a wedding! On top of that, she does her job with such a positive and playful attitude. She is the best at what she does!

I can't imagine anyone doing a better job than Hayley. She proactively manages every detail while purposefully upholding your vision...never pushy, always supportive. Knowing she was on top of the details, focusing on our guests' comfort and convenience, and cooperating with our other vendors (all of whom loved her and thanked us for hiring her!) was invaluable. She's a total pro and I will recommend her to everyone I know who plans a wedding in Chicagoland.

Hayley! I am a type A person. I'm extremely organized and didn't think I needed a coordinator, but my family and friends convinced me that a day of coordinator would help to ensure the day ran smoothly and stress-free. I would hire her 1,000 over. Having Hayley allowed me to be relaxed the weeks leading up to the wedding as she took care of all of the finalizing emails with our vendors. She ran our rehearsal. She answered everyone's questions and thought of the things I forgot. On the wedding day she bounced around between our venues ensuring that everything was set up, she got everyone where they needed to be at the right times, and she kept the day running smoothly. We couldn't have done it without her, and her work allowed us to truly enjoy every moment of the day. I highly recommend hiring Hayley!

I simply cannot put into words how amazing Hayley is. I wish I could give 100 stars on this website. Hayley absolutely killed it! The help and support she gave my now husband and I during the whole planning process is priceless. She was the best decision we made. Any bride looking for a day of coordinator NEEDS to hire Hayley. Not only is she so kind but she's so good at what she does! She gave us her undivided attention and made me feel like I was the only bride she was working with(which I know is not the case!). She always responded so quickly and offered her support in any way she could. Not only was she my coordinator, but she also became a friend.

Let me start by saying, my husband routinely mentioned that Hayley was our best wedding investment. Initially neither of us thought we'd need a coordinator - I did my own makeup, a friend did my hair, we didn't have a wedding party, the venue had a coordinator, and we had the overall plans under control. What could possibly go wrong? While I'm happy to confirm that absolutely nothing went wrong, it easily could've without Hayley's help! Our untraditional wedding started with a morning of racing for our family + friends at the track where we had our first date. Right away, Hayley introduced herself and let everyone know to come to her with basically anything they needed. To be honest, I'm not quite sure how she was able to be so attentive to our guests, vendors, and ourselves while running from building to building. It truly felt like I was working alongside an old friend. Our guests LOVED her! I cannot say enough good things about Hayley, but please let me leave you with this: Months prior to the wedding I rented a very specific car to race. On the morning of the wedding we found out the car wasn't available. It was heartbreaking and as you can imagine I had zero time to resolve this. So, I texted Hayley. She assured me everything would be fine and she was right!! I'm teary-eyed just thinking about it..she coordinated with the track manager to let me go for rides in their Performance Fleet of cars. It was a dream come true. Hayley, thank you for the best day imaginable! P.s. If you're a control freak like me, Hayley uses a very detailed schedule to keep everyone on track day-of. It's flawless!

Our experience with Hayley Hawkinson exceeded our expectations and truly made our day-of wedding planning experience as stress free as possible. Right from the get-go, she was eager to meet us and learn more about our story and got to know us on a more personal level, which we think made a world of difference in regards to her suggesting certain ideas for our wedding day. Our meetings with her were something to look forward to, as she was both very organized and stuck to our agenda, while still being extremely personable and outgoing which made our interactions with her that much more enjoyable. During our planning sessions, we were so thankful to have her guide the discussion because her attention to every detail made it so helpful for us to consider items that we would have never thought of ourselves, which just speaks to her experience within the industry and her ability to get to know each and every couple on a personal level. Although her marketing materials listed out a set of duties for her to perform as a wedding coordinator, we were blown away by her willingness to go above and beyond the expectations she set to help make our special day the wedding we had dreamed of. On top of all this, her pricing is unprecedented, as she was the most cost effective option given everything that did for us leading up to and the day of our wedding. Hayley, we can’t thank you enough for all you did to help make our wedding truly one to remember, we plan to recommend you to all our friends!

Wow! Where to even begin with Hayley. Our 9-8-18 wedding was at my now husband’s family property and the day wouldn’t have been possible without Hayley and her expertise. The day was absolutely perfect and flowed seamlessly. Looking back, I don’t know what we would’ve done without her. Not only did she organize the entire day, but she also made sure all of our other vendors were in order. She was always there to answer any question through the planning process as well. She has such a calm demeanor, which always helped ease my nerves. We had 10 bridesmaids and groomsmen, as well as a huge family and she always made sure everyone was where they needed to be. She also made sure we got all the photos captured that we wanted to. Hayley listened to us and was a huge part in making our wedding day the best day ever. We can’t thank you enough! ❤️

Hayley coordinated my daughter's wedding. She was amazing, I can highly recommend her for any event, not just weddings. Before the day, I thought we had covered everything, but quietly and confidently, Hayley was on top of everything we hadn't thought of, and more besides. The pre-event meetings were very thoughtful and productive, the rehearsal was perfect, and Hayley somehow made sure that everyone knew what they should be doing. The day of was purely magical. I am forever grateful Hayley--thank you!

Hayley absolutely killed it when it came to my wedding on 4/28/18. We selected her month of coordination package, and she was honestly a life saver. At first, my husband was skeptical and felt we didn't need a coordinator because I'm so type-A and he thought I had everything under control. Once he met Hayley and we had our first planning session with her and he saw how detailed she was, he became her number one cheerleader. He says hiring Hayley was one of our best wedding planning decisions. I was able to get ready without any worries about the venue set-up because I knew she was taking care of it. Everybody knew where they were supposed to be and when thanks to her detailed timeline. We chose to forgo a wedding rehearsal, and there were no hiccups when it came time to walk down the aisle because Hayley was right there to keep people moving along. She also helped to make sure we knew where we needed to be, so we didn't fall behind. Her help cleaning up the venue was awesome as well, I was able to continue talking to guests and dance all night because Hayley had everything under control. I don't know how anyone has a wedding without a month-of-coordinator, I couldn't have been as relaxed and had as much fun as I did without Hayley. I would hire Hayley one hundred times over.

The brief version of this review is that Hayley is incredible and you should hire her to coordinate/plan your wedding immediately. Hayley was the best decision my wife and I made during the wedding planning process. We happened to be referred to her by our wedding venue in Chicago and from the very first interview call Hayley exceeded our loftiest expectations. On top of doing an excellent job of project managing every single detail of our wedding in the weeks before the event, Hayley was great at navigating our personal preferences (which were numerous) and was an incredible in-person presence at our wedding. We had a couple of family conflicts during our rehearsal and Hayley was an exceptional mediator and was careful to toe the line between being a helpful support and diving too deep into family relationships. She also responded to all our emailed questions within minutes with detailed and extremely helpful responses. Every single one of our family members and guests who interacted with Hayley commented on her helpfulness. She's wonderful!

Hayley is the BEST! Words cannot even begin to describe how much we appreciated having Hayley take the lead on coordinating our very special day. We got married at Ovation on 12/30/17 and it couldn't have been more perfect. Early on in planning we debated whether or not we truly needed a day of coordinator. After some thought, we knew we didn't want to put the onus of the day's responsibilities on any of our family or friends. However, it wasn't until our actual wedding, did I not truly understand how necessary having a point person to be the key liaison for all the vendors, wedding party and family communication. I knew from the moment we hired Hayley we made the right choice. She is not only so organized and a sweetheart but she immediately followed-up with awesome checklists and wedding planning templates that were invaluable in helping me ensure I was thinking through all the details. From the moment I first spoke to Hayley I could feel her warmth, passion and professionalism throughout our conversation. The day of our wedding, Hayley was always 2 steps ahead of us and made our day 100% stress free. My husband and I said to each other several times..."thank gawsh for Hayley!" Because of Hayley, we were able to be in the moment and enjoy every second of our wedding without thinking about any of the logistics. She was simply invaluable. Hayley was the coordinator for our wedding on 10/7/17 and I cannot begin to say enough nice things about her. From the beginning, she impressed us with her immediate response to emails and questions. We had several planning meetings ahead of time, which seems way beyond just "day-of" coordinating. When the wedding got closer, Hayley was so indispensable. She became the point of contact with our vendors, and was so attentive to every small detail. She reminded us of things that we forgot and made sure that our wedding day planning went smoothly. As for the day itself, she was there so early to set up and coordinate everyone. This wasn't such an easy task and our outdoor wedding got rained out, and we had to figure out if our dog could still be the ringbearer once we moved the ceremony indoors. I didn't have my phone on me for the ENTIRE day, that's how much I trusted her. I didn't even need to worry about a single thing concerning logistics. She set up our decor beautifully, stayed to pack it all up at the end of the night, and help load it into cars. By the end of it, Hayley felt like a friend and not just a vendor. Our planning meetings were more than just meetings, they were always fun too! I would recommend Hayley to literally everyone I know who is getting married. OMG – Seriously, I have no clue what Aaron and I would have done without you! Your delivery was exceptional when it came to following up on commitments and responsibilities that you made, which by the way, far outweigh what I even imagined a “Day of Coordinator” would provide. As a bride who worries about “what could go wrong,” I was never made aware of a single thing that didn’t go as planned that day, until after. Considering it turned out to be a much hotter day than expected and we nearly ran out of beer in the first two hours, but because of you this didn’t happen. Instead, you took initiative and ran to the liquor store to buy more which was a HUGE relief for everyone involved! Whenever we asked for your suggestion, you gave well thought out pro’s and con’s to our options that we hadn’t even considered, helping us to make the best possible decisions for our wedding day. Overall, we were both BLOW AWAY by your professionalism, organization, detailed questions, approachability, and thoughtfulness to making every situation thrown your way, flawless. Additionally, our venue and vendors had phenomenal things to say regarding your performance and we feel so APPRECIATIVE to have had you apart of our best day ever! Thank you so much!!!!!

If you're like me and you base buying goods and services heavily on customer reviews but don't have time to read my full review just know you should hire Hayley NOW! Just do it! She was amazing from our very first call to the last second of our wedding night (which was a late night). We hired Hayley as our day of coordinator and I was very nervous at to hand everything over to another person and trust they would execute my vision but Hayley NAILED IT! On top of her lightning fast response time to any and all of my questions, she has such a great eye for style which, trust me you will want from someone who is setting up your decor and has to make on the spot decisions if things can't be set up exactly how you pictured them. There were things I forgot to tell her about the timeline and decor that she just did intuitively and I was beyond thrilled with the final product. Hayley will go above and beyond to make sure things go exactly how you want them. One of our desserts were my favorite frozen custards driven in from St. Louis to Chicago, once they arrived, we realized the black ice they were stored in wouldn't keep them frozen until the wedding the next day and there was no freezer at the venue. So Hayley worked her magic and ended up driving the custard all the way to her parent's home to deep freeze them, picked them up the next morning and drove them back to the venue! Everyone in my family and wedding party are still talking about how amazing she is and how well she executed the entire wedding - we were so grateful for her because I'm sure there were a million other problems she fixed but shielded me from on our big day. She even stayed late after everyone had gone on to the after party to take down my decor which included some hard to remove mirror decals. Book Hayley now before her calendar fills up - she is an absolute JOY to work with and definitely the person you want on your side for one of the most important days of your life!

Hayley was simply amazing! She was honestly the best money we spent on our wedding. She was very organized the whole time, and was the point person for all our vendors leading up to the wedding and on wedding day. She is so fun and personable, everyone loved her! Anything we asked of her she was happy to help with, even filling out those dreaded vendor online forms the month of! I have heard some horror stories about DOC, but Hayley couldn't have been any more awesome!

I could not have imagined the Shain wedding going so well without Hayley at Hawkinson Events on 9.9.17. We chose her month of coordinator package. She is sweet, personable, organized, charming, and a woman who knows how to take charge of a situation. She truly was a savor the month before the wedding! She kept me on top of making decisions, offered much needed advice, and dealt with many time changes with our vendors. Her execution of our dream was flawless! She even helped us take down the decor and finish the night which is a service hard to come by in the coordination business I found! Our day was absolutely perfect and I couldn't recommend her enough! Thank you Hayley for making our day one we will never forget! You hold a special place in our hearts. ☺

Hayley coordinated our June 2017 outdoor wedding/ceremony and she did a fabulous job. She thought of and followed through with every last detail. She made my planning a breeze and the day of our wedding was exactly as I had hoped due to her. I would recommend her to anyone planning an event, money very well spent!

My husband and I hired Hayley from Hawkinson Events to coordinate our May 28, 2017 wedding at Untitled Supper Club in Chicago, IL. From my initial consultation phone call with Hayley, I knew she was our coordinator. Hayley is on her game. She is organized, professional, warm, friendly, funny, calm, detail-oriented, and loves weddings. (Spoiler Alert, that's EVERYTHING you want in a wedding coordinator). We met with Hayley a few times before our wedding (she was always willing to meet halfway or locally for us) and had many phone calls, texts, and emails throughout the planning process. She really lead us in to the final stretch with ease. I had no fears about handing off my hard work to Hayley that final month. She communicated in a clear and professional way with our vendors and family members/wedding party and helped make sure we weren't forgetting anything. She calmed my wedding planning anxieties (will the black table cloths be too dark?!) and shared in all of our excitement. On our big day, she set up the decor flawlessly while fully executing our vision, made sure the day of timeline she helped create went on as planned, and kept any issues at bay. Throughout our wedding day, my husband and I were thrilled of course to be married, but the one thing we kept saying to each other was "This is perfect. Everything today is absolutely perfect." - and we owe Hayley for that. At the end of the process, Hayley feels more like a good friend than a wedding vendor. I would highly recommend Hayley and Hawkinson Events for your month-of wedding coordination needs. You want this girl on your team.

Hayley was the coordinator for a wedding ceremony and reception at our venue on June 24, 2017. Everything ran very smoothly and it was one of our best events ever! It was a real pleasure working with her and we look forward to future collaborations.
